Murshidabad, from the riverbank

Hazarduari Palace, Katra Masjid, Motijheel, Khosh Bagh and the merchant houses of Azimganj are all within a short ride. We arrange cars and guides, and tell you which sights to keep for the quieter afternoon.

Two days in Murshidabad

Day one

Arrive by the Hazarduari Express before noon. Lunch at Taranga, an hour on the lawn, then Hazarduari Palace and the Imambara in the softer light after three. Sunset cruise from the jetty at five; dinner on the rooftop.

Day two

Early boat across to Khosh Bagh while the rose garden is cool. Katra Masjid and the Jahankosha cannon on the way back; Kathgola Palace and Nashipur Rajbari after lunch. Tea on your balcony, and the evening train — or a third night.

We arrange cars (₹[RATE]/day), licensed guides and country boats; ask at the desk the evening before.
